Where Your Treasure Is!
Read 1 Timothy 6:13-17.
ALWAYS VIEW YOUR WEALTH THROUGH THE LENS OF ETERNITY. As we do that we will loosen our grip on our wealth, and our wealth will begin to loosen its grip on us!
So many generous Christians have the same story: When I began to understand the connection between what I’m managing in this life and the life to come, all of the sudden I began to loosen my grip on what I owned and controlled, and it began to loosen its grip on me. My heart began to change. We must understand Wealth isn’t just about here and now – it’s much, much bigger than that!
Paul and Jesus knew everyday we are tempted to take hold of a life that isn’t truly life. Much of what we lean on, and strive after in this life isn’t life at all. So, Jesus and Paul told us that if we’ll be RICH TOWARD GOD, the grip of our stuff will lose its attraction and our hearts will be made right for heaven – for eternity. When we take this advice, we become wealthy and free!
Challenge: I will view all my riches through the lens of eternity, and store up treasure in heaven, so that I may live the life that is truly life.
