As we close our week of investigating what the Bible and Jesus say about sex and sexuality, let's remember that Jesus affirmed the Genesis two view that marriage is between a man and woman for life (See Mark 10:1-12), and told us that sexual fidelity within marriage is the standard for how men and women are to relate to other sexually.  As we noticed, Jesus' standards in this area, are the same as His standards in every area of life:  Jesus demands faithfulness to God's instructions.  That may only be achieved through living out a redeemed life in the name of Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Life in Jesus is not easy, but it is blessed.  Life in Jesus goes against the culture in which we live, but when we obey Him in the power of the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives, the experience brings joy and fulfillment that those who live outside of His will can never know.  Let's turn the understanding and living out of the sexual area of our lives over to Jesus, knowing that as we do, we will experience the abundant life He has planned for us!

Let's pray:  Heavenly Father, Thank You for making us male and female and creating us for faithful relationships with one another in the bonds of marriage.  Thank You for the power of Your Holy Spirit that gives us the ability not only to understand your plans for our lives in the area of sexuality and every other area of life, but also to live them out in joy.  This we pray in Jesus' name.  Amen.
