In heaven only the worthy receive worship.  Only One is worthy:  God--Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  In Revelation 4:8 we see the leaders in heaven responding to the Lamb's act of power (removing the scroll from God, the Father's right hand:  ⁸And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.

When we gather for corporate worship, or when we worship on our own in our daily time(s) with God, do we realize the power of the one we worship?  The most important beings in heaven (next to God)--the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders didn't just bow down before Jesus, they FELL down before Him.  The pure awe they hold for Jesus causes abject prostration before Him.  We would do well to remember who it is we worship, and the position He holds in heaven and on earth:  Lord of lords and King of kings!  May our worship reflect the place Jesus holds in our lives---first and foremost!

Let's pray:  Heavenly Father, Thank You for showing us glimpses of heaven in the Book of Revelation.  Fill us with Your Holy spirit that we may worship You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit with the focus You deserve.  This we pray in Jesus' name.  Amen.
