We all know the familiar account of how Joseph and Mary entered Bethlehem on what turned out to be the first Christmas Eve, and found no room anywhere for them to stay.  The inn was full, apparently no one else offered them a place to stay, either.  Finally, someone gave them a stable.  Not very good accommodations for a king, for the King, was it? 

What about us?  Are we making room for Jesus as we prepare for Christmas?  Are we setting time aside to focus on Him, on the significance not only of His birth, but also on His life, death and resurrection? So many times we rush through this season and then we get to the end of it and say, "Next year, I'm not going to ...."  "Next year, I'm going to remember to..."  It's "next year."  It's halfway through the Christmas season, so are we focusing on Jesus?  Are we making room for Him in our lives, our homes, our schools, our work places?  Take some time right now and be specific about what you are doing to make room for Jesus this Christmas season.  Is it enough?  How are you helping your family, your children, your friends to make room for Jesus, to make Christmas about His coming to save us?  Don't wait until next year to make room for Him!  A great way to make some room and to help others make room for Jesus, will be to join us tomorrow at the South Butler Primary School in Saxonburg at 8:45 or 10:15 as we praise and worship Him together! 

Let's pray:  Heavenly Father, Thank You for sending Jesus to the world to rescue us from sin and death!  Fill us with Your Holy spirit that we will always make room for Jesus in our lives and in our spheres of influence---especially during this Christmas season.  This we pray in Jesus' name.  Amen.
