This week, as we conclude our focus on Hope: When Life Hurts Most the topic is "Plan B."  Our Scripture for the week is Acts 16:6-10:  ⁶Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia at that time. ⁷Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there. ⁸So instead, they went on through Mysia to the seaport of Troas. ⁹That night Paul had a vision: A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was standing there, pleading with him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!”  So we decided to leave for Macedonia at once, having concluded that God was calling us to preach the Good News there. Acts 16:6-10 NLT

As the text above shows, we make our plans, but sometimes those plans don't go the way we planned them, even when we're deeply committed to following Jesus!  Paul and Silas sought God's will and plan for their lives with great diligence.  They planned to go to various places to tell people the Good News of Jesus' salvation, and yet the Holy Spirit "prevented" them from going to certain places, while opening doors for them to go other places.  What about us?  Are we seeking God's will and plans for our lives?  That's what we'll be looking at in worship today, and in these posts through the coming week.  I hope you'll join us at the South Butler Primary School on Knoch Road in Saxonburg at 8:45 or 10:15 a.m. (or already have!) and that you'll join us here at www.newlifexn.org through the week, as we consider how God always has a "Plan B" for us when our "Plan A's" don't work out.

Let's pray:  Heavenly Father, Thank You so much for Your faithfulness to us in every situation in our lives.  Fill us with Your Holy Spirit that we may hear Your voice and do Your will each and every moment.  This we ask in Jesus' name.  Amen.
